With a master’s degree in Library and Information Science from SJSU, I’m eager to apply my knowledge and skills in a career outside of traditional libraries. My diverse work history includes assisting at public and elementary school libraries, freelancing on UpWork, and working at Starbucks. These experiences helped me develop key skills, such as customer service, teamwork, and communication, while reinforcing my commitment to making information accessible and useful.
My freelance work involved completing projects in writing and project management, which allowed me to refine my skills and learn valuable lessons in time management, self-motivation, and client communication. As I pursue opportunities in special libraries, corporate information centers, or government information centers, I’m confident that my education, work history, and passion for information science will enable me to excel in my chosen career path.
